ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon during Milan Design Week 2026

Milan Design Week highlights a vision of design as an open and evolving process, where materials, technologies and creative thinking are in constant dialogue. Alongside the Salone del Mobile, the Fuorisalone represents a dynamic platform for experimentation and innovation in contemporary design.

Within this context, ECONYL® regenerated nylon becomes part of this exploration, offering a material that can adapt to different applications while supporting new approaches to design and production. During the Fuorisalone (April 20–26), ECONYL® regenerated nylon will be featured across selected projects and collaborations.

The ECONYL® Bespoke Collection: Texture, Material Expression and Custom Design

The ECONYL® Bespoke Collection enables designers and architects to create distinctive projects using ECONYL® regenerated nylon, meeting the needs of projects seeking luxury, performance and responsible material choices.

During Milan Design Week, the ECONYL® Bespoke Collection will be presented through three yarns — Reseta Bright, Relana and Terra. Each yarn offers a unique texture and finish, evoking the warmth of wool, the sheen of silk, and the organic character of natural fibers, bringing depth and dimension to every design.

For this occasion, three carpets have been developed and will be presented at the EcoContract showroom. One of these, made with Reseta, is part of the “Sesia” collection, an interior design concept based on a palette of 12 colors, where the Bespoke range will now be included among the materials available for high-end interior solutions.

Another carpet, specifically designed by EcoContract for the occasion, combines Reseta and Relana, while a third piece, developed using the Terra yarn.

Alongside these projects, carpets by long-standing partner Ege, made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon, will also be presented at the EcoContract showroom.

By combining material innovation with aesthetic research, the Bespoke Collection opens new possibilities for custom applications across interiors, hospitality, residential and contract spaces — demonstrating how regenerated materials can inspire new creative directions.

Project MAGRITTE: When 3D Printing Meets Regenerated Materials

During the Fuorisalone, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is also at the core of the MAGRITTE project, presented by Tessil4, a company of the Aquafil Group, at Stecca 3.0, within an exhibition curated by Materially.

Developed in collaboration with the University of Trento, Indivenire, ProM Facility and Caracol AM, the project explores new frontiers in large-scale additive manufacturing through the development of a high-performance composite material designed for advanced applications.

At the centre of this innovation is ECONYL® regenerated nylon, reinforced with a natural mineral filler. This combination enhances mechanical performance while maintaining an aesthetic quality suitable for design and interior applications.

The project highlights the versatility of ECONYL® regenerated nylon across different applications, combining performance and design. The material also addresses one of the key limitations of current technologies by enabling full recyclability at the end of its life cycle, opening new perspectives for additive manufacturing processes.
