Fabric Scraps Take-Back Projects
Fabric Scraps Take-Back Projects

An international partnership with public institutions and private organisations was established to recover and repurpose materials at the end of their lifecycle. This initiative collects waste from around the world, transporting it to Aquafil facilities where it becomes the raw material to create ECONYL® regenerated nylon. Notable take-back projects include collaborations with renowned brands, such as Napapijri, Speedo and Gucci.

Napapijri
In a unique collaboration, Aquafil and Napapijri launched a fully circular apparel collection. Titled the Circular Series, the clothing line features ECONYL® yarn and standard nylon, and was created to be fully recyclable using a single material. Thanks to the global recovery program, the pieces can be returned after two years of use and be recycled into new ECONYL® nylon.

Gucci
