From 19 to 21 May 2026, Clerkenwell Design Week returns to London’s EC1 district for its 15th edition. Recognised as one of the world’s most important design hubs, the festival brings together architects, designers, and industry professionals through a programme of installations, talks, and events.
As a global epicenter for architectural dialogue, CDW is the perfect stage for Aquafil to showcase how ECONYL® regenerated nylon is redefining the built environment through advanced circular solutions.
The Company will be present at Stand PA8, within the Commercial Design in the Park area, dedicated to contract furniture and surface design. The presence will offer an opportunity to explore a system approach to circularity in the built environment, from material innovation to design for regeneration.
Unlocking Green Building Certifications: The Talk
The highlight of our participation is a deep dive into the technical side of circularity.
On Wednesday, May 20, from 2 PM to 3 PM (UTC+1), Cristina Stefani, BCF Marketing of Circularity Projects at Aquafil Group, will take part in the Design Dialogues programme, curated by Design Milk.
The talk, titled “Circular pathways to certification: unlocking LEED, BREEAM, WELL and GENSLER with ECONYL® and R2R®,” will be held at: The Charterhouse Chapel Charterhouse Square, Barbican, London EC1M 6AN.
In an era where sustainable interiors are no longer optional, this talk is essential for architects and specifiers. The session explores how intentional material selection—specifically ECONYL® regenerated nylon—can help projects secure credits within LEED®, BREEAM®, and WELL™ frameworks, as well as align with the rigorous Gensler Product Sustainability Standards (GPS).
The talk will also explore the Born R2R® (Regenerated to be Regenerable) program, which reflects this approach by engaging partners in designing carpets made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon that can be easily recycled at the end of their life, rather than disposed of, extending the role of materials beyond their initial application.
The same perspective takes shape physically at Stand PA8 in the Commercial Design in the Park pavilion for a moment of research and discovery. Titled “Advanced Circular Solutions for the Built Environment”, our stand is an immersive cityscape where the Aquafil ecosystem can be explored. Rather than a traditional product display, the space invites to experience the values and innovations behind ECONYL® brand and circular design through the lens of colour. The installation uses a curated palette to guide through core pillars such as: Ecodesign, Circularity, and Certifications.
It is an experience designed to spark inspiration.
